Here’s What You Need to Know
We put your future first.
At Converse, opportunities don’t just happen. We create them. From our professors who put you in the middle of it all – research, real-world experience, and personal guidance – to our student life and career advisement teams – we surround you with what you need to be ready for both today and tomorrow.
We are affordable.
Our tuition is 53% below the national average of private schools, and we recently announced that we are freezing our tuition rate for the upcoming 2021-2022 academic year. You’ll complete your college career in a timely manner and without spending extra for additional years of school.
85% of our students receive some sort of financial aid or scholarships. We are committed to ensuring that a high-quality, private education is within your reach. With lower tuition, your financial aid and scholarship dollars will stretch farther.
We guarantee you will graduate in four years.
Converse believes in the value of our education and where it will take you. As part of the Converse Guarantee, we guarantee all undergraduate, full-time students will graduate from Converse in four years. If you don’t, the rest of your classes needed to complete your degree will be free.
We also guarantee you will be employed full-time or enrolled in graduate school within six months of graduation, or be eligible to return to Converse for a year tuition-free.
Learn more about the Converse Guarantee here.
We are test-optional.
As a test-optional school, your ACT or SAT test scores are not required as part of the admissions application process. If you feel your scores are a good reflection of your ability you are more than welcome to submit them as part of your file. However, it is not an admissions requirement. For students who have not taken the TOEFL, Converse will also accept the Duolingo English test. Ask your Admissions Counselor for more details.
We will accept unofficial transcripts.
We know that in this challenging time, it may be difficult for you to get an official transcript. We will accept unofficial transcripts from you at this time to complete your application instead of waiting for the school to issue an official transcript.
We’ve waived the admissions deposit.
You are part of the Converse family. And, like a family, during hard times we do everything we can to help each other. Now more than ever, you and your family may have some questions about finances. It is because of this we are waiving all undergraduate deposits from this point forward if you have filed your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and included Converse College (003431) and submitted an Intent to Enroll form.
Converse’s Spring term begins February 11, 2021. We are still accepting applications at this time. Apply today!

A Note to Prospective and Current Converse Students
Converse College is committed to ensuring that new students who intend to enroll at our college are considered fairly in light of the educational interruption they have endured due to the COVID-19 pandemic. No student admitted to Converse College will have their admission rescinded due to changes in grading policy or the inability to complete their coursework, so long as they still graduate. Students who apply to our institution are still subject to a review process that focuses on one’s ability to succeed in college but now recognizes that some situations are beyond their control. We look forward to supporting students and high schools through this challenging time, both now and with future graduating classes impacted by the pandemic.
