You are able to check your school email account from any computer by logging into my.converse.edu. Under the ‘Quick links’ menu on the left-hand side click on Google Apps/Email.
We have more than ten computer labs, three of which are located in various residential halls and are available 24 hours a day. Residential housing has wired internet and cable TV connections. Wireless internet is campus-wide, as well as in all student housing. All students have a Converse email account.
Campus Technology is responsible for:
- Maintaining student, faculty, and staff computers
- Service and design the A/V systems on campus
- Install appropriate software on the network
You are able to check all of the above at My.Converse by using your student login and password.
While having a printer in your room is convenient, this decision is entirely up to you. If you do bring a printer we ask that you disable all wireless services on your printer. All of our campus computers are set up for printing.
Yes, we highly recommend the four or six receptacle models made by companies that will reimburse you for any electrical surge damage to the equipment plugged into their surge suppressor. Protecting your computer and printer are entirely your responsibility.
Yes, students may drop off their computer at the Campus Technology office, located on third floor Kuhn. We will do our best in resolving the problem. However, we will not be able to assist you with gaming consoles or printers.
