Faculty and Student Honored with Exclusive Trip to Oman
Dr. Joe Dunn, Reverend Jason Loscuito, and Sophomore Emily Holbert (Nisbet Honors) were named Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Fellows for an expense-paid trip to Oman. Emily was one of only four students in the nation named as a recipient of this elite opportunity.
The National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations established the Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Fellowship to enable American educators to visit Saudi Arabia and the Arab Gulf countries, and to promote student enlightenment.
Dr. Dunn and Emily had the chance to meet up with Converse alumna Megan Madison ’09 (pictured), who was the coordinator of international study for the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations. Currently, Megan plays in the Jordanian National Orchestra and teaches music theory at The National Music Conservatory in Jordan.
