Professor Tekulve Celebrates Multiple Successes
Professor Susan Tekulve had her first photo essay, “White Blossoms: A Collection of Photographs and Words” published in the twelfth issue of KYSO FLASH. Selected photos from this collection were reprinted as illustrations in the 2019 KYSO Print Anthology, which was launched in December 2019.
Profesor Tekulve’s flash essay, “The Graves at Poor Clare Monastery, Greenville, South Carolina” was selected to be a part of the Emrys Foundation’s “Lit Letters” series. Emrys is the literary arts foundation of Greenville, South Carolina.
In January, Professor Tekulve was the featured author at the Spartanburg Library-Westside Branch book group. She was invited to give a reading from her essay collection at this year’s Associated Writing Programs national conference in San Antonio, Texas, in March.
Professor Tekulve’s nonfiction in the South Carolina Review was nominated for a Pushcart Prize.
