Summer Internship Will Have Long-Lasting Benefits for Future Converse Students
Ra’Veen Lowden ’19 has spent the summer interning in the Converse Registrar’s Office with Jenzabar, a software and services provider for higher education. Ra’Veen began working in the Registrar’s office during the school year as a work-study student. Part of her internship involves developing a simplified way for incoming transfer students to evaluate which classes will transfer in.
Ra’Veen, an English major, credits Converse for helping her prepare for this challenging internship. “Through opportunities like the work-study program you get hands-on experience in working in a professional environment,” Ra’Veen said. “My freshman-year class, Career Exploration and Planning, taught me how to build an effective resume, develop a more professional mindset, and learn how to “sell myself” to future employers.”
