Senior Prepares for Creative Future with Art Lounge Internship
Aquarius Lawson ‘18 didn’t have to go far from the Converse campus for a compelling internship experience. She spent her summer interning with The Art Lounge on East Main Street. The Art Lounge specializes in custom framing and its gallery features more than 20 local artists.
Aquarius said, “I had never framed anything before going to the Art Lounge so everything was very new. I made a lot of mistakes and learned to respect the importance of product demand and customer satisfaction as it pertains to your own business.”
She credits her Arts Management classes at Converse for helping her with this role. “My Arts Management classes prepared me to know what to expect when looking at the workings of a business and to critically think of all the things that are required of a business such as the building, the utilities, and the service you provide,” Aquarius said.
