Laura Adams, ‘11, is an interior design major with a dream to start her own design and home accessory business. She found the perfect internship at Windstar Homes, a Florida-based luxury home building and design company. There she was able to get an inside look at client relations and the close interactions between designers, builders and architects.
At Windstar Homes, Laura’s work included meeting with clients, producing AutoCad drawings, organizing the resource library, and picking out materials and room accessories. She also met with builders and cabinet makers and went on site visits to check their progress.
Laura says Converse prepared her to be confident in her skills, to be assertive, and to handle the stress of a real-world design environment.
