MEd Grad Named Superintendent of Spartanburg School District One

Following a unanimous vote by the Spartanburg One Board of Trustees, Mark Smith ’03 was named the new Spartanburg School District One Superintendent.

Dr. Smith has served District Six for more than 25 years as a teacher, principal, and administrator and currently serves as the Chief Officer of Student Services, School Safety, and Transportation for Spartanburg School District Six.

The Master of Education at Converse supports experienced teachers with advanced courses in their academic specialty. In some cases, our MEd students have designed their course of study so they can add an area of certification to their existing credentials.
