Music Therapy Department Supports Mountainview Nursing Home Event

Faculty and students from Converse’s Music Therapy program worked with residents at Mountainview Nursing Home during the Spring 2023 semester.

Associate Professor of Music Therapy Carol Shultis coordinated with Music Therapy student Anabella Walker ’24 to assist a group of residents at the facility in preparing songs for a concert. The performance, May Music Mix, was received with enthusiasm from family, friends and staff. This was the facility’s first concert in nearly three years, and residents were overjoyed to perform together again.

Assistant Professor of Piano Dr. Steven Graff and Adjunct Accompanist Anne Graff were special musical guests for the concert, playing a 4-hand piano version of Johannes Brahms ‘Hungarian Dance No.5’.
