Music Performance Senior Wins National Graduate Fellowship
Music Performance major Jennings Cavin ’20 was awarded the Dr. Maude Etheredge Graduate Fellowship for the 2020-21 academic year from Alpha Lambda Delta. She plans to attend the University of Missouri – Columbia where she’ll pursue an M.Ed. in student affairs. Jennings was inducted into Alpha Lambda Delta in 2017.
Only twenty-six graduate fellowships are given annually by Alpha Lambda Delta to its members from a national pool of competitive applicants. Award amounts range from $2,000 to $7,000 and are used to offset the expense of pursuing graduate or professional studies.
Each fellowship is named for a person of significance to Alpha Lambda Delta. Dr. Maude Etheredge, a colleague and close friend of Alpha Lambda Delta’s founder, Maria Leonard, was head of the Women’s Health Service at the University of Illinois for many years.
