Dr. Stefania Licata attended the Fifth International Conference of the Center for Afro-Hispanic studies in Madrid, where she is an active member. Dr. Licata presented her paper, “Cultura popular y activismo en los cómics de Ramón Nsé Esono Ebalé,” in which she explores how the graphic novel is used as a tool of protest against the current neocolonial dictatorship in Equatorial Guinea.
