Dr. Lalama Selected as President-Elect of Higher Education Division of SCMEA
Dr. Susana Lalama was elected president-elect of the Higher Education Division for the South Carolina Music Educators Association. The position is a six-year term in which the first two years she will serve as president-elect, followed by two years as president, and immediately followed by two years as past-president.
This spring, Dr. Lalama was the featured presenter at Stetson University as part of their Instrumental Music Education Day. Presentation topics included “Managing a Successful and Efficient Music Program”, “Teaching Intonation in Instrumental Ensembles”, and “Classroom Management Strategies for the Large Instrumental Ensemble.”
