Honors Grad & University Innovation Fellow Speaks at Silicon Valley Meetup
Nadia Gathers ’15 interviews Daniel Seddiqui
Nadia Gathers ’15, a Nisbet Honors grad and University Innovation Fellow currently working for GitHub, was chosen by the University Innovation Fellows program as one of 24 student operations team members for the program’s Silicon Valley Meetup. These Fellows were hand-selected out of the community of 1,000 Fellows for the impact they have had at their schools and for their contributions to the national movement. Nadia spoke to the 350 student and faculty attendees at the Meetup. She also interviewed Daniel Seddiqui, innovative founder of ‘Living the Map,’ a program which builds awareness of the varying cultures, careers, and environments across the country.
Laurie Moore, Communications Director for the University Innovation Fellows Program, said “I’ve seen Nadia speak several times at our conferences and events, and I’ve always been impressed by her passion and moved by her message. We are so proud to have Nadia as such an accomplished Fellow in our program!”
While at Converse, Nadia created her own Social Entrepreneurship curriculum by integrating courses in business, political science, and economics. Her University Innovation Fellowship was funded in part by the Nisbet Honors Program.
