With top awards in all nine venues, Converse’s Tunisia delegation swept the competition and was named Best Delegation at the Southeast Model Arab League competition this weekend. Converse’s predominantly freshman delegation, representing Kuwait, finished fifth out of the 21 participating delegations. Awards winners on the Tunisia delegation were Taylor Casey, Grace Frazor (Nisbet Honors), Natalie Southgate (Nisbet Honors), Asten Leonard, Melissa Brock, Alexis Hall (Nisbet Honors), Alexis Turner (Nisbet Honors), Sidney Jones (Nisbet Honors), and Abby Brown. Award winners for Kuwait were Emily Holbert (Nisbet Honors), Abigail Hill (Nisbet Honors), Melissa Rickenbaker (Nisbet Honors), Claudia Coffin (Nisbet Honors), and Jessica Morgan (Nisbet Honors). Converse chaired seven of the nine venues. Lauren Ziegler won best chair and Kandice Miles was cited as distinguished chair. Hannah Winkler served as Secretary General and Catherine Parler was Assistant Secretary General.
