Drs. Eggerding and Shultis Present at World Congress of Music Therapy in Italy
Dr. Carol Shultis and Dr. Liz Eggerding presented at the 18th World Congress of Music Therapy in Bologna, Italy in July. Dr. Shultis was in attendance while Dr. Eggerding participated virtually.
The first part of the presentation included a video of Dr. Eggerding sharing specific sections of her dissertation research about Therapeutic Presence. Dr. Shultis closed the presentation by explaining how faculty incorporate the development of therapeutic presence into music therapy coursework throughout the student experience at Converse.
Dr. Shultis was also a guest for an hour-long presentation with a Q&A to a packed audience, alongside a British author/clinician and a German researcher.
Afterwards, Dr. Shultis met with participants at the Barcelona Publishers Exhibit to talk about the textbook she co-authored, “Clinical Training Guide for the Student Music Therapist”.
