Academic Affairs/Provost’s Office

Converse’s Provost is the chief academic and student life officer of the University. Specifically, the Office of the Provost oversees our instructional spaces that include traditional classrooms, virtual learning environments, laboratories, and performance and art studio spaces. The Office of the Provost also facilitates the excellent work of our people – our accomplished faculty, academic advisors, tutors, librarians, and others – who contribute to the success of our students. Our academic deans, faculty, and staff work together with the Office of the Provost to ensure the best possible student experience both within and beyond the borders of Converse’s campus.

Converse’s mission is to empower students to become transformative leaders who see clearly, decide wisely, and act justly. In support of that mission and across our wide variety of undergraduate and graduate degree programs, students enjoy opportunities to work alongside our faculty who equip students to take their experiences beyond the classroom into a range of other learning environments and real-world settings, including workplace internships, clinical and practicum settings, study abroad and study away, research in the field, exhibitions and performances on the stage, in studios, in galleries, and more.

We care about our students’ education, and we believe a Converse education opens doors of opportunity for our students by preparing them for a lifetime of learning, a lifetime of discernment, and a lifetime of engagement and leadership.
