Ashleigh Sieradzki: Prepared for Teaching Career

Ashleigh Sieradzki ’10 received her Bachelors of Music in Music Education at Converse and is now teaching elementary music and middle school band at the Sterling School for gifted elementary and middle school students in Greenville, SC.

“The music education department at Converse made me a more rounded person with a chance to grow, not only as a teacher, but as a mentor.”

Ashleigh said of her learning experience, “The music education department at Converse made me a more rounded person with a chance to grow, not only as a teacher, but as a mentor to my peers and private students. Unlike other colleges, Converse provided me with many clinical experiences, in which I was able to use a variety of teaching methods with different music classes ranging from a general music class to a high school band class.”

In addition to her passion for teaching, Ashleigh continues her practice as a musician as a flute player with the Greenville Light Opera Works.
