Designing a Prosperous Future: Gabriela Vallarino ’09
“The Converse Interior Design Program was comprehensive and included aspects of historical restoration, interior construction, innovative re-use of facilities, building codes, ADA codes, life safety issues and ergonomics. When I transferred to Converse, I developed new presentation skills that helped me express my ideas in a more professional way. I worked independently on projects for a sleep center, a clinic, an ADA kitchen for a chef, an art gallery and the lighting design of a conference room. With my classmates, I worked on the design of a high-end building that contained a restaurant, a mercantile space and an office.”
Vallarino graduated from the Interior Design Program in 2009.
