Fashioning a Future in Interior Design: Danielle Leonard ‘06

“During my junior year, I worked part-time for an interior design firm, and was offered a full-time position upon graduating from Converse. The knowledge I gained at Converse in both residential and commercial design applications was expansive in nature. Through our various projects, I learned how to work effectively both as a member of a group and independently, and how to interact with clients. The interior design professors are wonderful. They encourage students to be creative, to take chances, and they give students constructive criticism in a positive manner. Remember, there is more to interior design than matching colors: the workload and course work can be demanding and time consuming, but the interior design field has many diverse job opportunities.”
Leonard graduated from the Interior Design Program in 2006.
