EdD Student Named District 6 Teacher of the Year

Melissa “Katie” Colwell ’07, currently a candidate for Converse’s Doctorate in Professional Leadership, has been named the Teacher of the Year for Spartanburg County School District 6. Colwell is an Advanced Placement English Teacher and Sponsor of the Teacher Cadets at Dorman High School.

Katie received her Masters of Education in Gifted and Talented Education from Converse and will graduate in May 2022 from the Doctorate in Professional Leadership Program.
