Converse Competes at World Golf Invitational in Florida

For the 11th time in program history, the Converse University golf team will compete in the World Golf Invitational hosted by Flagler at the Slammer & Squire Course at the World Golf Village in Florida.

During the fall 2023 season, the Valkyries had a successful run, finishing in first place at the King University Invitational in September. The Valkyries ended the fall season with an eighth-place finish in the Converse Fall Invite by Founders FCU.

The Valkyries starting for the upcoming tournament will be Lizzie Madden ’26, Ellie Lim ’27, Kali Lantis ’27, Elle Webber ’27, and Brooke Haazer ’25. The five Valkyries will navigate the 6,049-yard, par-72 course against 17 teams.

The athletes will golf 54 holes over the two days.

Out of the 17 teams participating in the tournament, eight are nationally ranked.
