Katie Harry Named New Head Esports Coach at Converse
Converse University Deputy Athletic Director Randy Loggins announced the hiring of Katie Harry as the new Head Esports Coach.
In just its first official season, the Converse University Esports program made a splash on the national scene. The Rainbow Six Siege Team won the first-ever Grand Championship, while the League of Legends and Overwatch teams each won Peach Belt titles in their respective games.
“I want to thank Sheldon Williams for taking our first-year Esports program in the direction it needed.” Loggins said, “With the success that our programs had this past year, we feel that Katie can continue that success. Katie is passionate about bringing students into her program and developing them for life after college through Esports. We are thrilled to have Katie as part of our Valkyrie Family.”
“I am excited to work with the students and administration at Converse to continue to progress this rising program into a powerhouse to succeed in both competition and academics.”
