North Greenville Wins Big Over Converse College
Spartanburg, SC — The Converse College soccer team dropped its second straight game. North Greenville University proved to be too much for the All-Stars to handle. The Crusaders scored four goals in the first half and three goals in the second half to claim a 7-1 victory.
Beth Morgan found the back of the net three times. Teammates Danielle Duff and Whit Doublestein each added two goals for the visitors. The Crusaders scored early and often. Morgan scored her first of the night when she received a throw in to go a breakaway. Duff would score the second before Doublestein made it 3-0. Duff would get her second goal to make it a 4-0 half time lead for the Crusaders. Morgan would complete her hat trick by scoring the Crusaders 5th and 7th goals of the afternoon. Doublestein scored the team’s 6th goal.
Junior Sarah Schiff scored for the second game in a row for the All-Stars.
With the win, the Crusaders improve to 1-2 on the season. The All-Stars fall to 2-2 after a 2-0 start. The All-Stars return to action when they take on Coker College in Hartsville, SC on Saturday afternoon.
