Cross Country finishes 4th in CVAC

Anderson, SC – The Converse Cross Country team finished 4th Saturday in their inaugural conference meet. They were only one point out of third place where they were pipped by Barton College but left the meet with a great deal of individual recognition.

Mary Cloonan (Spartanburg, SC) was named First Team All-CVAC for her 5th place finish overall and was followed by freshman Betsy Rupper (Wapokineta, OH) who finished 7th and was named 2nd Team All-CVAC. Converse also had Sarah Powell (Enoree, SC) named to the All-CVAC Honorable Mention list with a fine 12th placed finish.

Converse now has a week off as they prepare for the NCAA Division II Regional Meet at Wingate University on November 5th.
