USC-Aiken Blanks Converse 3-0
The Lady All Stars Volleyball team fell to 6-7 with a heartbreaking loss to the USC-Aiken Pacers on Tuesday.
In the first half of play, USC-Aiken led 13-8 and then reeled off 12 of the next 13 points to take command 25-9. The Pacers went on to win that game 30-14.
Game two proved to be the most competitive as the two teams saw the score tied at three, six, 12, 17, and 21. A 7-0 run for the Pacers took them to 28-21 and they held on for a 30-25 win.
There was no stopping the Pacers in game three as Veronica Seidle rattled off 17 straight points on her serve at 7-4 to lead 24-4. The Pacers went on to win that game 30-15.
Lauren Mueller highlighted Converse’s play with five kills and five blocks for 9.0 points and a .400 hitting percentage. Monica Wallace added four kills, three blocks, and three of the team’s five aces. The Lady All Stars will be back in action on Thursday night at Converse as they take on Francis Marion at 7pm.
