Converse Tennis Defeats St. Andrews

The All-Stars improved their season to 3-1 in the spring after defeating St. Andrews in Laurinburg, North Carolina. Converse won the match 8-1.

In doubles action,Converse’s Tina Rohner and Sandra Diaz defeated April Rowe and Nicoli March 8-4. At number two doubles, Converse’s Danielle Beck and Christine Galop were defeated by Megan Zarnowiec and Marsh 8-5. Also in doubles action Megan Munn and Virginia Jones defeated Alden Lye and Aubrie Beer 8-2.

In singles play, Converse’s Tina Rohner defeated March (6-0, 6-1) at number one singles. At flight two, Converse’s Danielle Beck defeated Rowe (6-3, 7-6, (7-4)). In flight three Converse’s Sandra Diaz defeated Zarnowiec(6-0, 6-1) while at flight four Converse’s Christine Galop defeated Lye (6-0, 6-0). In flight five Megan Munn defeated by Beer (6-0, 6-2), and in the number six spot Andrea Weatherman won by forfeit.

Rohner and Diaz (CC) def Rowe and Coltrain 8-4. Marsh and Zarnowiec def Beck and Galop (CC) 8-5, and Munn and Jones (CC) def. Lye and Beer 8-2.

The All-Stars will return home on March 1st at 3:30PM to take on Mars Hill.
