Converse Falls in Tennis to Mars Hill
The All-Stars are now 3-4 for the year after losing to Mars Hill at home on March 1st 8-1.
In doubles action, Converse’s Tina Rohner and Sandra Diaz were defeated by Nancie Gruber and Jennifer Rogers 8-5. At number two doubles, Converse’s Danielle Beck and Christine Galop were defeated by Jessie McFarland and Maranda Dellinger 8-3. Also in doubles action Megan Munn and Virginia Jones were defeated by Whitney Stroud and Rachel Barcio 8-1.
In singles play, Converse’s Tina Rohner was defeated by Gruber (6-7, (10-12) 6-2, 6-3) at number one singles. At flight two, Converse’s Danielle Beck fell to Rogers (6-1, 6-1). In flight three Converse’s Sandra Diaz was defeated by Sroud(6-2, 6-4) while at flight four Converse’s Christine Galop was defeated by McFarland (6-1, 6-0). In flight five Megan Munn was defeated by Dellinger (6-1, 6-2), and in the number six spot Andrea Weatherman had the only win by defeating Barcio (6-4, 6-2)br>
