Converse Rolls Past Johnson C. Smith

The All-Stars improved their season to 2-1 in the spring after defeating Johnson C. Smith on Monday afternoon. Converse won the match 8-0.

In doubles action,Converse’s Tina Rohner and Sandra Diaz defeated Legette and Hairston 8-1. At number two doubles, Converse’s Danielle Beck and Christine Galop defeated Lewis and Shoecraft 8-2. Also in doubles action Megan Munn and Andrea Weatherman won on a forfeit.

In singles play, Converse’s Tina Rohner defeated Legette (6-0, 6-0) at number one singles. At flight two, Converse’s Danielle Beck fell defeated Shoecraft (6-2, 4-6, 11-9). In flight three Converse’s Sandra Diaz defeated Cross(6-0, 6-0) while at flight four Converse’s Christine Galop defeated Lewis (6-1, 6-1). In flight five Megan Munn defeated by Hairston (6-4, 6-1), and in the number six spot Andrea Weatherman won by forfeit.

The All-Stars travel to Laurinburg, NC to take on St. Andrews on Wednesday, February 25 at 3:00PM. They will return home on March 1st at 3:30PM to take on Mars Hill.
