Converse Falls Short To Brenau
August 30, 2003 The All Stars fell short to Brenau losing 3-1. The All Stars had a lot of chances but could not finish. In the first half Brenau scored two goals and Converse could not come back to beat that deficit. The All Stars picked it up in the second half but their effort was not enough to overcome the lead that Brenau had. Rachel Sherman scored in the second half to make the game 2-1 with Brenau still on top. Coach Rossley and Clowney had the team play very offensively to try and push to get another goal. Brenau scored again with less than five minutes left to ruin Converse’s chances of tying the game. “Our ladies were just exhausted after playing Agnes Scott in Overtime less than 16 hours ago,” says Coach Rossley.
The All Stars will take on Lees McRae on Tuesday in Banner Elk, North Carolina.
