Converse Basketball Loses to Lees McRae College

If Head Coach Beth Coil was asked what the difference between these two teams was the answer would be simple and to the point, rebounds. In Friday night’s 95-63 loss to Lees McRae College, Converse watched as the Bobcats dominated and out-rebounded them 57-29 in 40 minutes of play.
Lees-McRae had their game plan as they handed Converse their 5th loss of the season; that was to shut down the All-Stars big weapon in sophomore center Lindsey Parker. Parker has produced a double-double in every game this season until tonite only grabbing 10 rebounds and scoring 9 points. The bright spot of the night was junior guard Melissa Ballard who stepped up her play and scored a game-high 24 points along with 3 rebounds and 3 assists.
The All-Stars will travel to Rock Hill, SC to take on D-I Winthrop University before leaving for Christmas break.
