Basketball Opens Up November 22-23 with All-Star Classic

Enthusiasm is high for the Converse College All-Star basketball team as they prepare for the tip-off of the season.

Head Coach Beth Coil (Queens ’93) will open up her 1st season on Friday, November 22nd at 8PM vs. St. Andrews College at the PAC. Other teams that will be participating are North Greenville College and Limestone College.

Converse finished the season last year with an overall record of 10-17 with impressive D-II wins over North Greenville and Erskine College.

Leading the way for Converse are sophomore Lindsey Parker and junior Melissa Ballard who last year averaged 9 and 8 points per game respectively.

Assisting Coil will be first year coaches Maria Hickman, a graduate of Mars Hill College in ’02 and Erla Reynisdottier, who finished eligibility for the All-Stars last year.

Game schedule for the classic is as follows:

Friday

Limestone vs. North Greenville @ 6:00PM

Converse vs. St. Andrews @ 8:00PM
