Alumna Spotlighted For Her Dedication to Animal Welfare

Debra Griggs Converse Music animal advocate

Music alumna Debra Griggs ’75 has made significant strides in animal welfare legislation and advocacy. In 1999 she founded Animal Resources of Tidewater, whose mission is to rescue and re-home animals, as well as provide spay and neuter services and medical assistance for animals.

Griggs’ dedication was recognized this year by the National Association of Realtors with a Good Neighbor honorable mention. You can read more about what inspired Griggs and how she continues to help pets and families here.
