Studio Art Grad Brings Her “Spheres of Influence” to Asheville

Converse II alumna Linda McCane Gritta ’04 will exhibit her abstract paintings in the Blowers Gallery at the Ramsey Library at UNC-Asheville from March 1-30, 2018. “Spheres of Influence” was inspired by Linda’s interest in the paradox of order and chaos found in nature, physics and within ourselves.

Linda credits the Converse art department faculty for helping her build a solid foundation in drawing, painting and printmaking while also pushing her to challenge herself. “Making my way as a full-time artist has been an exciting and wonderfully challenging journey for me,” Linda said. “Converse gave me not only the skills I needed but also the courage and the inspiration to keep on becoming the best artist I can be.”
