Reunion 2017 Enchants with New Stay-on-Campus Summertime Format
And the prize for best residence hall decorations goes to…
The Class of 2008, who stayed on 4th Dexter! These ladies decked out their hall with paper lanterns and streamers, rolled out the PINK carpet, and covered the walls with photos from their Converse days and placards bearing the name of every one of their classmates.
These moments were complemented by reunion traditions such as classes with favorite professors (Dr. Joe Dunn and Dr. Jeff Willis), the induction of the Golden Club (the Class of 1967), campus tours (strolling with beverages!), the Alumnae Awards ceremony and a memorial service honoring alumnae who recently passed.

Rachel Bishop ’99 emailed Converse the day after reunion weekend to let us know how much she enjoyed the new summertime stay-on-campus format. “I loved every minute of it,” she said. “Yesterday morning at brunch, one of my ‘crew’ asked about our favorite moments. Mine was after dinner and the pub crawl, we had come back to our hall to find the other girls, a younger class, in the hall and of course a friendship struck up and wine was pulled from micro-fridges and we shared our Converse memories and laughed at the differences. Finally, around 1:00 AM, four grown women from the classes of 1999 and 2000 sprawled across one dorm room bed in our PJs to laugh, catch up and reminisce…Staying in the dorms is WONDERFUL! It bonded not only our friends, but other ‘sisters’ on the same hall. What a great deal, too! MORE fun and cheaper than a hotel. I would do it every year!”
Book your space early for next year’s reunion to experience this fabulous new journey with your Converse sisters!
