Professor Massengale Celebrates 14th Year as Jazz Festival Poster Designer
Professor Mike Massengale completed the illustration and poster design for the 2020 Rehoboth Beach, Delaware Jazz Festival. This is his 14th year as the official poster artist for the event.
His relationship with the festival began in 2004 during his solo art show at the Kennedy Gallery located in Rehoboth Beach, DE. All of his paintings on display were images of jazz musicians. Board members from the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Fest in attendance at Massengale’s show inquired if they could use one of his paintings as the official poster. That began a fourteen-year relationship that continues today.
