Professor Blanchard Nominated Visual Artist of the Year
Professor Andrew Blanchard’s recent sabbatical project earned him the nomination of Visual Artist of the Year by the Mississippi Institute of Arts and Letters. His work is featured in the group exhibition Meditations on the Landscape in Art and Literature at the University Museum in Oxford, Mississippi.
Blanchard’s screen-print “Jouer Gens” is on view as part of the Trio project, a collaboration between visual artists, authors and musicians living in the Carolinas. Recent month-long exhibitions have been at Buxton Books in Charleston, SC, Foggy Pine Books in Boone, NC, and Page 158 in Wake Forest, NC.
Blanchard recently joined Levee Contemporary Art as creative director and co-proprietor. Levee Contemporary Art is a commercial art gallery located in Princeton, WI.
