Students Present at Chemistry and Biomedical Conferences
- Kaybriana Spalding ’20 (Nisbet Honors) gave a presentation at the Southeast Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society. Her talk was titled “Factors that Influence the Removal of Copper (II) Aqueous Ions from Solution via Hydrogel Formation.” Her research was conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Jennifer Hawk.
- Audrey Bourdages ’20 (Nisbet Honors) presented at the Southeast Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society. Her talk was titled “Using Hydrogel Formation to Remove Heavy Metal Contaminants from Aqueous Samples.” Her research mentor was Dr. Jennifer Hawk.
- Lindsey Rogers ‘21 gave a poster presentation at the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students. Her poster was titled “A Xerogel-Based Biosensor for Clinically Relevant Measurements of Cholesterol.” Her research was conducted under the mentorship of Dr. Will Case.
- Kimberly Leone ’21 (Nisbet Honors) and Courtney Dziewior ’21 (Nisbet Honors) presented their summer research project at the Southeastern Regional Meeting of the American Chemical Society. Their research mentor was Dr. Sheri Strickland.
