Psychology Faculty and Grad Present at Conference in Charleston
Dr. Monica McCoy and double major Katie Swaringen ’18 (Nisbet Honors) presented a paper, “It’s Different for Girls: Three Scales of Sexual Assertiveness”, at the Southeastern Psychological Association conference in Charleston, South Carolina.
Katie is attending the Social Experimental Psychology PhD program at Texas Tech and will be working with faculty there to research the negative effects of stigma and stereotyping on sexual minorities and non-monogamous relationships. Katie was awarded a research assistantship and an extra $4,000 fellowship.
