Vocal Performance Grad Receives Full Fellowship to Symposium in Italy
Éowyn Melaragno ’09 was accepted into the competitive Bassi Brugnatelli Symposium in Robbiate, Italy. This nine-day vocal intensive is designed to develop the relationship between singers, conductors, and orchestras. Participants attend masterclasses, workshops, and a concert with orchestra. Petrie School of Music faculty members Rebecca Turner and Mildred Roche also teach at the Bassi Brugnatelli Symposium. Rebecca Turner was Éowyn’s opera director when she was a student and encouraged Éowyn to audition for the fellowship.
Éowyn will be starring as Sarah Brown in the upcoming Spartanburg Little Theater production of Guys & Dolls. She currently works as the research and grant coordinator at Converse College.
