Art & Design Faculty Present at National Conference in Seattle

Dr. Susanne Floyd Gunter presented “Promoting Positive Artistic Disposition in Classroom Practice and as a Critical Assessment Component” at the National Art Education Association Conference in Seattle, Washington. She was also invited to participate in the Higher Education Forum on Teacher Licensure. Dr. Gunter met up with Art Education MAT grad Katherine Dobbs ’16 and current Art Education grad student Katherine Carmichael at the conference.
Professor Andrea Elliott presented two workshops at the conference related to arts integration titled, “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, and Save the Truffula Tree,” and “Lego Love: The Building Blocks of STEAM”. She was elected as chairperson of the Lifelong Learning Committee of NAEA, and serves on the editorial board for the new online International Journal of Lifelong Learning in Art Education.
