Dr. Walker, Panelist at Freedom Summit, Discusses Emancipation

Dr. Melissa Walker was a panelist at the “Freedom Summit: Spartanburg’s Heritage 150 Years Ago and Today” at the Spartanburg County Public Library. She spoke about the experiences of women in the last year of the Civil War and the impact of emancipation on Spartanburg’s white landowners.
