Dr. Melissa Walker was named the Humanities Council of South Carolina’s project scholar for “The Way We Worked,” a traveling exhibit on the history of labor in America. The exhibit, part of the Smithsonian’s Museums on Main Street program, will visit six small communities in South Carolina during 2017. Dr. Walker will consult with local organizers on programming and provide guest lectures.
