Conversation
"Everything we could do, we did do."
About the Conversation
Twins Erin Poston Stone Smith and Rebecca Poston Creel discuss life, love and loss in this series of conversations. The twins roomed together, took all the same classes, and held many of the same leadership positions on campus. After Converse, both progressed along different career paths with Rebecca becoming a lawyer and Erin working in nonprofit fundraising. In 2009, Erin's husband Patrick was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She began a blog to share her experience, and it became widely read. You can read Erin's blog here.
Erin and Rebecca graduated from Converse in 2004 with double majors in Psychology and Business Administration. Rebecca is currently an attorney at The Law Offices of Lester and Hendrix and lives in Columbia, SC. Erin lives in Columbia and is the Director of Public Support at the Humane Society.

About the Project
In celebration of our 125th anniversary, Converse is recording conversations that capture the unique voice, value and vision of our College community. The project launched during Reunion Weekend 2014, with a team of student digital journalists interviewing alumni, students, faculty and staff. The resulting stories span decades of friendships, life experiences and careers. The Conversations project was funded by a gift from President Betsy Fleming in honor of the College's anniversary.
