Edwin McCain to Headline April 13 Spring Concert
Converse College’s 2013 Spring Concert will feature headliner Edwin McCain with opening act the Blue Dogs on Saturday, April 13 at 8 PM. Gates open at 7 PM and the concert is open to the public. Tickets are $10 for college students and $20 general admission and all day-of-show tickets.
Converse College’s annual Spring Concert has become widely attended by college students from across the Southeast and the general public, drawing crowds of more than 4,000 for best-selling artists such as Darius Rucker, Jason Mraz, B.o.B., Zach Brown Band and Colbie Caillat. Food vendors and a Beer Garden are available on site, and Upstate area radio stations B93.7, Chuck FM (97.7) and X 98.5 will broadcast live on campus prior to the concert.
Edwin McCain is a platinum-selling singer/songwriter from South Carolina who began his career with Atlantic Records in 1995. Drawing from jazz and soul influences and gaining traction as a performer alongside Hootie & the Blowfish, Jewel and The Allman Brothers, McCain is best known for hit singles like Solitude, 3 a.m., I’ll Be, and I Could Not Ask for More that remain fan favorites and concert staples.
