Petrie Vocal Preview Workshop – September 25 & 26, 2009

If you’re a young female singer thinking about a career in the arts, we invite you to check out this two-day, one-of-a-kind opportunity at Converse College on Friday and Saturday, September 25 & 26, 2009. We have created Petrie Vocal Preview as a special program for talented high school sophomores, juniors and seniors who want to learn more about the exceptional vocal programs of the Carroll McDaniel Petrie School of Music. Each Petrie Vocal Preview participant will receive an individual “one-on-one” voice lesson from one of Converse’s internationally-known music faculty and attend informative sessions on topics such as career opportunities in music, application and audition procedures, and Converse’s own degree programs. In addition to an Opera Scenes performance presented by Converse Opera Theatre, participants and their parents will attend a vocal recital featuring some of our outstanding singers.
