Spartanburg Community Partnership Celebrates Three Converse MAT Graduates

On December 10, 2025, Re:Degree celebrated the first Wofford–Converse MAT Cohort at District 7’s administration offices. Congratulations to Converse MAT graduates Margaret Wilder Chandler, Brandi Wylie Jolly, and Madison Miller. 

This milestone follows the April 2024 announcement of a new 4+1 partnership between Converse, Wofford, OneSpartanburg, and Districts 3 and 7— creating a seamless pathway for Wofford students to earn their Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) from Converse.

OneSpartanburg Inc.’s Re:Degree program is part of Movement 2030, a strategic plan for Spartanburg County to advance economic mobility and educational attainment. The program supports the re-enrollment and degree completion of the nearly 51,000 adults across Spartanburg County. It aids local citizens with little college experience, no matter the degree level, but who did not graduate. The program offers flexible scheduling, personalized academic advising, and financial aid options to ensure that every student can achieve their educational goals.
