Converse MFA Online Journal Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Converse’s semi-annual online literary journal, South 85, is celebrating its tenth year. The journal publishes fiction, non-fiction, poetry, book reviews and blog posts by new, emerging, and well-established writers, and is run by the Converse University Low-Residency MFA Program.
Highlights from this issue include:
- The poem “Junk Trees,” written by Kristen Staby Rembold, which includes a painting by Professor Susan Tekulve.
- The story “Noe Valley” by Converse MFA Alumnus Scott Laughlin.
Submissions for the Julia Peterkin Literary Awards are currently being accepted through August 15, 2022. Previously unpublished poems of 50 lines or fewer can be submitted between June 1 to August 15 each year. See full details for the Julia Peterkin Awards here.
