Conference Carolinas Magazine Features Converse Runner Ashly Sutherland
HIGH POINT, N.C.- Conference Carolinas released its fourth edition of Playmaker on Friday, Jan. 10. The issue featured Ashly Sutherland, a cross country runner from Converse College.
Playmaker is designed to provide an in-depth look at Conference Carolinas athletes and their dedication not only to their sport but also to their school and community. Each issue highlights the accomplishments of one student-athlete from an in-conference school. Ashly Sutherland, a sophomore from Converse College, is the January feature story. Sutherland is Converse’s top runner, as well as the first runner in school history to qualify for nationals. Her performance isn’t limited to just the course, as she is a double psychology and theater major with aspirations of being an actress.
The Playmaker digital magazine was first released in October 2013 with the first feature on cross country runner Spencer Frantom (King University). New issues will be released on the first of every month. Each issue aims to provide information for fans and members of Conference Carolinas. In addition to the student-athlete feature story, each issue will contain conference news and up-coming games as well as other conference information.
