Bridget Dullea Named to Division II All-Rookie Squad

On Tuesday, May 25, the Staff at Womenslacrosse.com released their Division II and III post season honors for the 2010 collegiate lacrosse season, naming Converse College’s Bridget Dullea to the Division II All-Rookie Squad.
Upon learning the news, Dullea said, “I am very honored to receive this award and to be recognized by the lacrosse community. I am grateful for the success I enjoyed this past season, and thankful for the support of my teammates and coaches and all that they have done to help me succeed.”
Dullea, a freshman midfielder from Peabody, Massachusetts, led the nation in goals during the regular season with 75 in her first year of collegiate play. Dullea averaged 4.31 goals a game and 5.06 points a game, finishing 3rd and 15th respectively in those categories. Dullea contributed both offensively and defensively, averaging 1.81 caused turnovers per game and racking up 47 draw controls and 46 ground balls on the season.
Head lacrosse coach for Converse, Julie Redman, cites Dullea’s leadership and fierce determination as key contributors to her success. “Bridget has been such a wonderful addition to our program. She is a leader on the field and is willing to do whatever she can to help her team succeed.” Redman added, “Bridget possesses a rare combination of athleticism and street smarts that makes her a threat all over field. I am so proud of everything she has accomplished this year—she has done everything we have ever asked of her and more. I am confident that this will be one of many accolades for Bridget Dullea over the course of her time here at Converse!”
