Basketball Player Named Conference Carolinas Player of the Week
Nigeria Davis ’21 has been selected as the Conference Carolinas Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. The league office made the official announcement on Monday, Nov. 11, 2019.
Davis averaged 22 points and 12 rebounds per game last week for Converse. The junior forward from Newberry, S.C. shot an impressive 70.4 percent (19-of-27) from the field in Converse’s two games.
In the season-opening win for Converse over Queens, Davis finished her efforts with 27 points and 16 rebounds. She followed that up with 17 points and eight rebounds in a loss to UVA-Wise on Nov. 9.
